The AKC Board has approved the request from the BHCA to allow spayed and neutered dogs to enter Basset Hound Field Trials.  This change is effective February 1, 2010.  Performance Events feels this is a positive step for the sport and the breed, allowing additional owners to enjoy their dogs in the field.

AKC Negotiates Discount With
Motel 6/Studio 6

If you’re traveling with a dog, to a dog event or on vacation, the AKC has good news for you.

A special 10% discount has been negotiated with the pet-friendly Motel 6/Studio 6 chain for owners of dogs registered with AKC.

When making a reservation, for Motel 6 use the code CP 542764, and for Studio 6 the code is CP542765. To take advantage of the discount you must have a dog with you.
